BARNETT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A one-vehicle crash occurred early Friday morning on State Route 899, in Barnett Township, Forest County.

Marienville-based State Police say around 7:46 a.m. on Friday, April 6, a 2016 Freightliner tractor-trailer — operated by 57-year-old Lonnie K. Berry, of Greenwood, MS — was traveling north on Route 899 near Blue Ridge Road in Barnett Township.

Berry lost control of the tractor-trailer on the slush-covered roadway causing him to travel off the left-hand side of the roadway. He then hit an embankment causing the truck to jackknife.

The crash caused disabling damage to the vehicle.

Berry was using a seat belt and was not injured.

He was charged with a traffic violation.

Marienville Volunteer Fire Company assisted at the scene.

The scene was cleared at 11:42 a.m.
