State Police Respond to Rollover Crash in Jenks Township

JENKS TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A rollover crash occurred on Friday morning on Old State Route 899, in Jenks Township, Forest County.

Marienville-based State Police say around 6:09 a.m. on Friday, April 6, 57-year-old Timothy J. Sassak, of Marienville, was traveling north on Old Route 899 and lost control of his 2005 Ford Ranger.

The vehicle struck the embankment on the west side of the roadway with the driver’s side front end and then traveled up the embankment causing it to roll onto its roof.

The vehicle came to a final rest on its roof facing north.

Sassak was using a seat belt and was not injured.

He was charged with a traffic violation.
