Woman Injured in Madison Township Crash

MADISON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say one woman was transported to Clarion Hospital after a two-vehicle crash occurred late Sunday morning in Madison Township, Clarion County.

According to police, around 11:20 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 33-year-old Fawn R. McCanna, of Rimersburg, was operating a 2008 Chrysler Sebring, traveling north on Lawsonham Road in Madison Township.

Police say 32-year-old Mitzy S. Ealy, of Templeton, was in the process of getting into the driver’s seat of a 2006 Ford F250 that was parked in the southbound lane of Lawsonham Road. McCanna’s vehicle struck the driver’s door of Ealy’s vehicle. McCanna’s vehicle came to a controlled final rest just north of the scene, while Ealy’s vehicle stayed in its parked position.

Southern Clarion County Ambulance Service transported Ealy to Clarion Hospital for injuries of unknown severity to her back/neck area.

McCanna was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

Ealy’s passenger — 26-year-old Heather D. Smith, of Karns City — was not injured.

McCanna was cited for a traffic violation.
