Court documents indicate 44-year-old Curt Douglas Fields, of Brookville, was taken into custody on Thursday morning and lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.

According to a criminal complaint filed by Brookville Borough Police, around 3:13 p.m. on Friday, April 13, Officer Turnbull and Chief Markle met with a known female victim about a sexual assault that is alleged to have occurred on Wednesday, April 11, at a location in Brookville Borough.

Following the interview, Chief Markle, Probation Officer Shaffer, and Officer Turnbull attempted to contact Fields at his residence numerous times, as well as attempting to make contact by phone, text, and through a third party.

He was taken into custody on the morning of Thursday, April 19, and arraigned at 8:42 a.m. in Magisterial District Judge Gregory M Bazylak’s office on the following charges:
