Norma-Highfield-1524227911Norma Jean Highfield, 82, of Reno, PA, passed peacefully Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Countryside Nursing Home in Mercer, PA.

Norma was born in Oil City on December 24, 1935 to Lois (Topping) and George Stack. She was a 1953 Graduate of Oil City High School. She married John Avery Highfield on July 3, 1953 and they spent the first part of their marriage in Oil City. They later moved to Reno where they raised their family. She loved her Children and adored her Grandchildren. In her earlier years, she was a caregiver to several children in and out of the neighborhood. Norma was known for baking and usually had goodies on hand to enjoy.

Norma enjoyed bowling and bowled in leagues for many years. She also was an avid game player and enjoyed playing games with family. She loved spending time at their camp at Lake Wilhelm, and fishing on the lake.

In addition to her Husband, she is survived by her Sons, David (Virginia) Highfield of Mercer, PA, Garry (Sharon) Highfield of Franklin, PA, Lori (Ray) Adams, of Deland, FL. Her Grandchildren, Chasidy (Christian) Highfield-Seltrecht of Erie, PA, Lisa Snipes of Port Orange, FL, Cory (Martha) Highfield of Elfland, NC, Joseph (Leann) Highfield of Polk, PA, and Ashlee (Jeremy) Montgomery of Grove City, PA. Her Great-Grandchildren, Quinn, Ellie and Connor Seltrecht, Jace Snipes, Ethan and Abby Highfield, Evelynn, Sadie, and Jillian Highfield and Gracie Montgomery. A sister Georgia (Richard) Strawbridge of Oil City and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Phyllis Rohrer and Brother James Stack.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Monday, April 23, 2018.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Cindy Weber, officiating.

Interment will follow at Brandon Cemetery in Cranberry, PA.
