Two Non-US Citizens Nabbed in Monroe Township in Connection with Retail Theft Ring
According to court documents, Clarion-based State Police filed criminal charges against 44-year-old Besiki Kuntsurashvili and 49-year-old Teimurazi Partskhaladze – both from the Country of Georgia.
Police say the men are part of a transient group of individuals from Central Asia that are committing thefts at multiple retail establishments throughout PA, NY, NJ, OH, MD, and VA.
The men were arrested near the Clarion Walmart on a traffic stop on April 20 for charges stemming from a theft that occurred at 9:00 a.m. on April 13, 2018.
Court documents indicate the men were arraigned at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20, in Magisterial District Judge Timothy P. Schill’s office on the following charges:
- Retail Theft-Take Merchandise, Misdemeanor 2
- Conspiracy – Retail Theft-Take Merchandise, Misdemeanor 2
Unable to post $50,000.00 monetary bail each, the men were lodged in the Clarion County Jail.
Preliminary hearings are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on May 1 with Judge Schill presiding.
According to police, more charges will be filed for other thefts committed in Clarion County.
Both individuals are non U.S. citizens and are believed to be in the U.S. illegally, police say.
