SCRUBGRASS TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Kennerdell woman already facing criminal conspiracy charges related to the death of Kayla Dunlap is now facing additional drug charges after probation officers found drug paraphernalia in her residence.

Court documents indicate the Franklin-based State Police filed criminal charges against 23-year-old Grace Ann O’Day, of Kennerdell.

According to a criminal complaint, around 4:10 p.m. on Friday, April 20, Trooper Fetterman responded to assist Clarion County Adult Probation at a residence on Hickman Road in Scrubgrass Township after drug paraphernalia was found during a home visit to Grace O’Day’s home.

O’Day was taken into custody by Clarion County Adult Probation and transported to PSP Franklin with the drug paraphernalia, which included hypodermic needles, spoons with burnt residue, small plastic bottles, cut in half credit cards with residue, rubber bands, and a package of razor blades located in a lunch box container, the complaint states.

According to the complaint, O’Day allegedly admitted that the items belonged to her and stated she has a drug addiction and was using pills and fentanyl. She also admitted to using the spoon to “cook” the pills for ingestion.

O’Day was arraigned at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 20, in Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish’s office on the following charges:

– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor
– Disorderly Conduct Hazardous/Physical Offence, Summary

Unable to post $10,000.00 cash bail, she was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25.

O’Day also faces the following charges stemming from her involvement in the overdose death of Kayla Dunlap in September of 2017.

– Criminal Conspiracy Engaging – Abuse Of Corpse, Misdemeanor 2
– Criminal Conspiracy Engaging – Tamper With/Fabricate Physical Evidence, Misdemeanor 3
– Furnish Authorities With Information W/O Knowledge, Misdemeanor 3

O’Day was charged after telling police she was there when Dunlap overdosed.

According to a criminal complaint, she also said she gave Dunlap Narcan in an attempt to save her life, but the dose was unsuccessful, and Shaun Long, who O’Day said gave Dunlap the drugs, allegedly refused to call 9-1-1. O’Day then helped Long dump Dunlap’s body in Butler County near a body of water.
