About Summer Day Camp at Camp Coffman

Children are grouped by age and will make friends, ride horses, explore nature, and create lifelong memories all under the guidance of awesome Camp Counselors who care about them and believe in their potential.

New to YMCA Day Camp is an expanded horseback riding program, archery, air rifle and Frisbee golf, an expanded character program, and more exciting outdoor adventures. The level of each activity is tiered based on age, with older campers participating in larger, more age-appropriate activities.

“Our goal was to make camp even more fun,” said Camp and Child Care Director Jennifer Cooper. “We wanted to give the kids more to look forward to as they get older. We’ve added more horseback riding to camp this year, and the older kids will go on extended staff-led trail rides. The younger kids will still ride horses, but the rides will be shorter and led by counselors.”

Other major draws to camp are the walking trails, climbing tower and zip-line, archery, and field trips.

YMCA Summer Day Camp is for children ages six to 12. Bus transportation to YMCA Summer Day Camp is provided from Oil City YMCA Younger Days Child Care Center and Clarion County YMCA all 12 weeks of summer.

Summer Day Camp is held weekly throughout the summer from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Extended care is available beginning at 6:00 a.m. and ending at 6:00 p.m. and is included in the regular day camp fees. Campers receive a healthy breakfast and lunch each day.

Summer Day Camp is reasonable and very comparable to the cost of child care. YMCA members pay just $121.00 for a five day week or $95.00 for a three day week. Non-members can also attend Summer Day Camp. Scholarships and financial aid are available based on income.
