Alexis Constantino Helps Clarion Roll Past Union Softball

RIMERSBURG, Pa. (D9Sports) — Alexis Constantino hit a home run and drove in four runs while going 2-for-3 with two runs scored to help visiting Clarion to a 17-2, three-inning win over Union.

Wendy Beveridge added a 2-for-3 day with a triple, two runs scored and two RBIs for the Lady Cats with Mackenzie DiTullio going 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored, Kait Constantino finishing 2-for-2 with a double, a walk, an RBI and three runs scored, Carly Best going 1-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs and Lindsey Kemmer scoring twice. Sydney Kiser added a triple and Brenna Campbell a double.

Sierra Salvo had the lone hit for Union against Sadie Rudesyle.

Rudesyle went three innings and also hit a batter while striking out three.

Salvo took the loss going three innings allowing 17 runs, 13 earned, on 13 hits, two walks and two hit batters.

KARNS CITY 11, LEECHBURG 1, 5 INNINGS

KARNS CITY, Pa. — Emily Wolfe went deep, Taylor Ekis drove in five runs and Mackenzie Dunn hit a pair of doubles to help Karns City to an 11-1, five-inning win over visiting Leechburg.

Wolfe was 1-for-2 on the day with a walk, three runs scored and two RBIs with Dunn going 2-for-2 with two walks and two runs scored and Ekis 4-for-4.

Alyssa Stitt also was 2-for-2 for the Lady Gremlins with a double, a walk, an RBI and three runs scored with Kennedy McGinnis scoring twice.

Grace Reinke was 2-for-2 with a home run and an RBI for Leechburg.

Logan Byers got the win going five innings allowing one earned run on four hits and a walk while striking out five.

CRANBERRY 18, REDBANK VALLEY 3, 5 INNINGS

Hannah and Emily Duncan hit back-to-back home runs TWICE to lift Cranberry to an 18-3, five-inning win at Redbank Valley.

For the sophomore Emily, who had three RBIs in the game it was her second and third homers of the year, while senior Emily, who drove in a pair of runs, it was her first two dingers of the season.

Natalie Barcincas also went deep for the BErries while picking up three hits and driving in two, while winning pitcher Andrea Watson had two hits and an RBI.

Watson went five innings allowing three runs, one earned, on nine hits and a walk while striking out five.

Brooke Holben had a double and two RBIs for Redbank Valley, while Sami Leasure was 2-for-3 and Shylie Shreckengost scored twice.

FOREST AREA, KEYSTONE SPLIT TWIN BILL

TIONESTA, Pa. — Forest Area and Keystone split a doubleheader at West Forest with Keystone winning Game One, 16-6, in six innings and Forest Area returning the favor with a 17-7, five-inning win in Game Two.

Jacey Pritt was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for Keystone with Jessi Philippi going 2-for-2 with a triple and three RBIs.

Cora Black got the Game One win.

Jasmine Ginnery paced Forest Area going 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.

In Game Two, Jen Lander was 3-for-5 with two triples, a double and seven RBIs for the Lady Fires in the victory with Catelynne Boehme was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and Cassie Cochran had a triple.

Philippi was 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs.

Ginnery got the Game Two win. She walked three and struck out four.
