Clarion Federal Credit Union Opens Mortgage Department

CLARION, Pa. — The Clarion Federal Credit Union is happy to announce the opening of a mortgage department and the addition of two mortgage originators.

The Credit Union has been working towards becoming a full-service financial institution for its members and a major item on the list was offering a traditional long-term low down payment mortgage product.

Susan Dinger and Don Shaffer joined the Credit Union team and have been an integral part in getting the department off the ground. Together they bring over 30 years’ experience dealing with mortgage products and bring the Credit Union full circle on product offerings for members.

CEO, Mark A. Lauer, commented “I have wanted to be able to fulfill the needs of our members for a fixed rate long-term mortgage product for quite some time. It is nice to see it happening now with Don and Susan here to help our members through the process.”

The Credit Union has been around since 1940 and currently serves about 10,000 members. Becoming a member is easy—you simply need to live, work, worship, or attend school in Clarion, Jefferson, Forest or Venango Counties in Pennsylvania.
