Karns City Baseball/Softball Pick Up Wins Friday

BUTLER, Pa. (D9Sports) — Cameron Blair, Logan Pistorius and Jake Weckerly combined for seven RBIs to lead Karns City to a 13-4 win over visiting Union at Kelly Automotive Park in Butler.

Blair walked once and drove in three, Pistorius drove in two runs while going 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, and a run scored and Weckerly drove in two while going 1-for-4 with a triple, a walk and two runs scored.

Steve O’Donnell, Nolan Riley and Tyler Yough all scored three runs for the Gremlins.

O’Donnell was 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI, Riley was 1-for-3 with a triple two walks and an RBI and Yough was 3-for-4 with a walk and an RBI.

Isaac Yoder was 4-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI with Lucas Bowser going 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Yough got the win going seven innings allowing four runs, two earned, on nine hits and a walk while striking out nine.

Reice Saylor took the loss giving up nine runs on nine hits and four walks while striking out three in 3 ⅔ innings. Yoder gave up four runs on two hits and three walks while striking out one in 2 ⅓ innings.

MONITEAU 8, KEYSTONE 2

BUTLER, Pa. — Winning pitcher Jake Jewart hit a home run and drove in two to help Moniteau to an 8-2 win over visiting Keystone at Kelly Automotive Park in Butler.

Jewart came relieved Chance Nagy in the third and went five innings allowing two runs, one earned, on a hit and four walks while striking out 10. He also went 1-for-4 with a run scored and the two RBIs.

Nagy pitched two scoreless, hitless innings striking out five.

Wyatt Geibel added a double and a triple for the Warriors and was 2-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI.

Tyler McFadden added a triple with Nick Sosigian and Jared Lominski each had doubles.

McFadden was 2-for-4 with a run scored, Nick Sosigian was 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI and Lominski was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Also for Moniteau, Nick Sosigian was 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.

Corey Rapp had the lone hit for Keystone going 1-for-1 with a double, a walk and two runs scored. Jayden Blazosky had an RBI.

Dawson Steele took the loss going six innings allowing eight runs, seven earned, on 11 hits while striking out one.

SOFTBALL

KARNS CITY 9, BLACKHAWK 1, 4 INNINGS

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. — In a game that ended in the fourth inning because of weather but was declared official by agreement of both coaches, Karns City rolled to a 9-1 win over Blackhawk.

Kate Allen and Sami Grazioli both had doubles with Emma Clark driving in three runs and Taylor Ekis and Brittney Friters two each.

Allen was 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored, Grazioli was 2-for-2 with a run scored, Clark was 1-for-2 with a run scored, Ekis was 1-for-2 with a run scored and Friters was 1-for-2. Mackenzie Dunn chipped in two runs scored.

Logan Byers got the win going three innings allowing a run on two hits and a walk while striking out five.
