Monday’s Softball Wrap: C-L Doubles up Forest Area

TIONESTA, Pa. (D9Sports) – Clarion-Limestone broke a 7-7 tie after three innings and pulled away with a 16-8 win over Forest Area at West Forest.

The Lady Lions scored three runs in each of their final three at-bats to put away the Fires, who rallied from a 6-1 deficit to tie the game.

Megan Stahlman, Abby Carl and Karleigh Aaron each had three hits for the Lady Lions, who had 15 hits. Stahlman doubled and tripled, and Carl doubled.

Cassidy Makray threw the final 3 1/3 innings to get the win in relief of the starter Stahlman. She allowed four hits and one earned run in her work, striking out four and walking none.

Jasmine Ginnery had three hits for Forest Area.

KARNS CITY 12, KEYSTONE 2, 5 INNINGS

KARNS CITY, Pa. — A seven-run first inning help Karns City down visiting Keystone, 12-2.

Three Lady Gremlins had multiple-hit games with five players picking up multiple RBIs.

Mackenzie Dunn hit a home run while going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBIs, while Alyssa Stitt had a pair of doubles while going 2-for-2 with two walks, two runs scored and two RBIs.

Emily Huff also doubled while going 1-for-2 with a walk, two runs scored and two RBIs, Allison McConnell was 1-for-2 with a double, a run scored and two RBIs and Taylor Ekis was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored.
