FOREST CO., Pa. (EYT) — Police are investigating an incident that took out a utility pole in Green Township late Monday morning.

According to police, around 11:26 a.m. on Monday, May 7, a crash occurred in the parking lot of Seldom Inn, located on State Route 36 in Green Township, Forest County.

Marienville-based State Police responded to the scene, and upon investigation, discovered that a red tractor-trailer and a white box trailer combination had pulled off State Route 36 into the Seldom Inn parking lot for unknown reasons.

A witness inside the business stated that as the truck exited the parking lot, heading north on State Route 36, a phone line got caught on the vehicle. Tension from the line caused a nearby electric pole to snap at the base and fall.

No injuries were reported.

Police have been unable to locate the vehicle, which was last seen traveling north on State Route 36 toward Tionesta.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to please contact PSP Marienville at 814-927-5253.
