Nonprofit Bootcamp Slated for June 8th

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Alliance for Nonprofit Resources (ANR) and Slippery Rock University (SRU) present the “Nonprofit Bootcamp” slated for Friday, June 8, 2018, at Slippery Rock University.

The bootcamp will feature a variety of topics, including: fundraising, human resources, board governance, marketing, management, and nonprofit start-up information.

There will be plenty of learning, networking, prizes, and even snacks.

Attendees will have the opportunity to win grant money for their agencies.

Kate Dewey, the featured keynote speaker, will focus on nonprofit trends in the region. Dewey is a Senior Advisor in the Nonprofit & Tax Exempt Organizations at Cohen & Grigsby in Pittsburgh. She has more than forty years of direct experience with a large variety of nonprofit organizations, foundations, public agencies and corporations at the local, state and national level. In 2017 she received dual recognitions for her dedication to the nonprofit sector. The Jefferson Awards established the Kate Dewey Community Service Award to continue in perpetuity. She also received the inaugural award from the Pittsburgh Business Times for her lifetime achievement as an Innovator.

The day will commence with a panel discussion featuring Dewey, ANR Executive Director, Michael Robb, and SRU Professor Alice Del Vecchio.
