NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. (D9Sports) — North Clarion’s Tori Obenrader won the shot put at the Redbank Valley Invitational with a state-best throw of 46-feet, 1-inch.

Obenrader’s toss is the best throw in Class 2A in the PIAA this season.
The District 9 track and field championships will be held May 18 at Brookville followed a week later by the PIAA Championships at Shippensburg.
Obenrader is the reigning District 9 champion in the shot put having thrown it 40 feet, 4 1/2 inches at last year’s D9 championships. She also finished sixth in the state last year in the event with a throw of 40-2.
