RICHLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police have released the details of a two-vehicle crash that occurred on I-80 in Richland Township, Venango County.

According to Clarion-based State Police, around 11:03 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, 43-year-old Robert L. Bish, of Clarion, was operating a 2010 Peterbilt dump truck, attempting to merge onto I-80 eastbound at the exit 45 ramp. At the same time, a 2018 Freightliner, operated by 41-year-old Matthew D. Ryan, of Kingston, TN, was traveling in the left lane of I-80 eastbound within a work zone.

Both drivers and Ryan’s passenger, 19-year-old Ashley R. Wilson, of Maryville, TN, were wearing seatbelts and were not injured in the crash.

Both trucks sustained disabling damage.
