BROOKVILLE, Pa. (D9Sports) — The District 9 baseball and softball playoffs get started this week with games every day from Monday through Saturday.

Action gets underway Monday with a pair of first-round contests in softball — one in Class 1A and one in Class 2A.

In Class 1A, Clarion-Limestone is at Cameron County at 4 p.m., while in Class 2A Moniteau is at Curwensville at 4 p.m.

TUESDAY

Tuesday is a heavy baseball day in District 9 with three Class 1A and three Class 2A quarterfinal contests.

In Class 1A, North Clarion is at Elk County Catholic at Berwind Park in St. Marys at 5:30 p.m., Clarion-Limestone is at Clarion at the Clarion County Park at 4:30 p.m. and Cameron County is at DuBois Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m.

The Class 2A field has Redbank Valley at Cranberry at 4:30 p.m., Curwensville at Brookville at McKinley Field at 4:30 p.m. and Brockway at Coudersport at the Coudersport Area Recreation Park (CARP) at 4:30 p.m.

WEDNESDAY

Wednesday is a mix of baseball and softball.

In Class 4A baseball, the semifinals will take place with Bradford at St. Marys at 5:30 p.m. at Berwind Park and Clearfield at Punxsutawney at 4 p.m.

Class 1A softball quarterfinal action features the C-L/Cameron County winner at DuBois Central Catholic at 4 p.m., Coudersport at Clarion at Paul A. Weaver Park at 4 p.m. and A-C Valley at Smethport at 4 p.m.

In Class 2A softball semifinal action, the Moniteau/Curwensville winner is at Cranberry at 4 p.m., and Johnsonburg is at Redbank Valley at 4 p.m.

The Class 4A softball semifinals feature Clearfield at St. Marys at 4 p.m., while the District 6-9 Class 5A Championship game sees DuBois playing Central Mountain at St. Francis Univesity at 2:30 p.m.

THURSDAY

Thursday will see semifinal baseball action in both Class 1A and Class 2A with the North Clarion/Elk County Catholic winner at Oswayo Valley at 4:30 p.m. and the C-L/Clarion winner taking on the Cameron County/DCC winner at the highest remaining seed at a time to be announced in Class 1A.

In Class 2A, the Redban Valley/Cranberry winner is at Johnsonburg at 4:30 p.m. and the Curwensville/Brookville winner takes on the Brockway/Coudersport winner at the highest remaining seed at 4:30 p.m.

The District 5/9 Class 3A baseball semifinals will see Moniteau playing Karns City at 4 p.m. at Kelly Automotive Park in Butler.

In softball action, a Class 1A quarterfinal game will take place with Otto-Eldred at Elk County Catholic at Benzinger Park in St. Marys.

FRIDAY

Friday is for softball with one 1A semifinal game and the 4A championship game taking place.

The Class 1A semifinal will be the Coudersport/Clarion winner taking on the A-C Valley/Smethport winner at a time and place to be determined, while the 4A title game features the Clearfield/St. Marys winner against Punxsutawney at 4 p.m. at Heindl Field in DuBois.

SATURDAY

The other Class 1A semifinal game will be Saturday with the Otto-Eldred/ECC winner playing the winner of the C-L/Cameron County winner vs. DCC game at a site and time to be announced.
