MHY Family Services is seeking a full-time therapist to support Clarion, Forest, and Venango counties.

ABOUT THE JOB
The MST Therapist provides comprehensive services to adolescents and their families, completing functional assessments of the adolescent in the context of the family, school and community. Therapist focus using on helping parents build supportive social networks, empowering parents to address the needs of the adolescent more effectively, teaching the adolescent new coping skills, and emphasizing long-term change that families can maintain after the program has been completed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field of study required. Master’s degree preferred. Demonstrated success in the clinical treatment of youth with serious antisocial behavior required. Prior experience in family and youth therapies using cognitive and behavioral approaches strongly preferred, as is prior experience in social skills assessment and intervention and child development approaches. Must be 21 years of age with current FBI, Act 33 and 34 Clearances. Current PA state driver’s license with evidence of an insurable driving record required. Must possess demonstrated PC skills including common MS Office applications. Additional training or licensing as required by regulations, or as deemed necessary by the Executive Director or Director.

ABOUT MST
In 2000, MHY adopted the Multisystemic Therapy Program (MST), an internationally recognized evidence-based program serving dependent and delinquent youth, ages 12 to 17, who are at risk of out-of-home placement or currently in an out-of-home placement.

MHY strives to meet the changing needs of at-risk youth and their families through a holistic approach to treatment. Youth and families have the opportunity to learn skills that help them manage and cope with trauma-based issues and to re-engage with home, school and community.
