STAT MedEvac Called to Early Morning Crash on Route 36

ELDRED TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Emergency officials say STAT MedEvac was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on State Route 36 early Thursday morning.

According to the Jefferson County Department of Emergency Services, a call for a two-vehicle accident along State Route 36 in Eldred Township, Jefferson County, came in at 7:44 a.m.

A pickup truck and a passenger car were involved in the crash.

Both vehicles sustained disabling damage.

The crash occurred on State Route 36 about three miles north of Brookville, in the Sigel area, near the site of a fatal crash that occurred a little over two years ago.

Sigel Volunteer Fire Department, Pinecreek Volunteer Fire Department, Brookville Fire Company, Marienville-based State Police, Jefferson County EMS, STAT MedEvac, and Brookville Borough Police Department were dispatched to the scene.

The scene was cleared at 9:08 a.m.

State Police investigators are expected to release additional information soon.
