BROCKWAY, Pa. (D9Sport) — District 9 announced Thursday that seventh-seeded A-C Valley will take on sixth-seeded Coudersport in the District 9 Class 1A semifinals at 4 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Benzinger Park in St. Marys.

A-C Valley advanced to the semifinals with a 10-2 win over second-seeded Smethport Wednesday, while Coudersport beat third-seeded Clarion, 6-3, Wednesday.

The winner Friday’s game will play the winner of Saturday’s semifinal contest between DuBois Central Catholic and Elk County Catholic being played at Noon Saturday at Brockway High School in the title game May 30 at Heindl Field in DuBois. The losers of the semifinal game will play in the consolation game at a time, date and place to be determined.

Class 1A baseball will see a doubleheader Tuesday, May 29, at Showers Field in DuBois. At 4 p.m., Clarion-Limestone and North Clarion play in the consolation game followed by the championship game at 6:30 p.m. between Oswayo Valley and DuBois Central Catholic.

There will also be a baseball doubleheader Wednesday, May 30, at Showers Field with Brockway facing off against Johnsonburg in the Class 2A title game at 4 p.m. followed by the Class 4A championship game between St. Marys and Clearfield at 6:30 p.m.

Also in softball, Cranberry will take on Johnsonburg in the Class 2A championship game at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at Heindl Field, while Punxsutawney and St. Marys meet in the Class 4A title game Friday, May 25, at 4 p.m. at Heindl Field in DuBois.

Karns City will play Everett in the District 5-9 Class 3A softball title game at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 30 at Heindl Field, while the Class 1A championship game will also be at Heindl Field Wednesday, May 30, at a time to be announced.
