Woman Strikes, Scratches Man During Domestic Altercation

HARMONY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A 41-year-old woman is facing assault charges after a verbal altercation allegedly turned physical.

Court documents indicate the Marienville-based State Police filed criminal charges against 41-year-old Lisa A. Nadeau, of Pleasantville.

According to a criminal complaint, around 9:45 p.m. on Friday, May 18, Lisa Ann Nadeau and a known male engaged in a verbal altercation in the kitchen of their shared residence on Stewarts Run Road in Harmony Township, Forest County.

The complaint states that the incident turned physical when Nadeau pushed the victim back against the wall and began to strike and scratch him.

According to the complaint, the victim pushed Nadeau away from him and pushed her back against the counter.

The physical contact with the victim consisted of fingernail scratches to the victim’s chest and right shoulder which caused red marks on his chest and a scratch on his back.

The complaint notes there were no injuries to Nadeau as a result of the altercation.

She was arraigned at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, in Magisterial District Judge Raymond F. Zydonik’s office on the following charges:

– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 3
– Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

Unable to post $15,000.00 cash bail, Nadeau was lodged in the Warren County Jail.

On Tuesday, May 22, her bail was changed to $5,000.00 unsecured bail at the request of the public defender’s office, and she was released.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, with Judge Miller presiding.
