VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — A man is facing assault charges related to an incident in Oil City last weekend when he allegedly grabbed a woman in a wheelchair and threatened to throw her through a window.

Court documents indicate the Oil City Police Department filed criminal charges against 53-year-old David Allen Morgan, of Meadville.

According to a criminal complaint, on Sunday, May 27, Patrolman Lawton was dispatched to a report of an intoxicated male at a residence on Washington Street in Oil City making violent, possibly physical, threats.

Upon arrival, Patrolmen Lawton and Ruditis made contact with a known female in a wheelchair.

The female victim stated that she and David Allen Morgan got into an argument about Morgan being intoxicated, and said Morgan was messing with her wheelchair, moving it around.

She told the officers that when she told Morgan to stop, he became aggressive and grabbed her by the arm and threatened her stating, “(expletive) you, I’m going to throw you through the window,” according to the complaint.

Patrolman Lawton also interviewed another known woman, a friend of the victim. The woman said Morgan was intoxicated when he and the victim were arguing. She also said that Morgan began yelling and swearing at the victim and grabbed her by the arm, hard, and made a statement about throwing her through a window, the complaint states.

Morgan was arraigned at 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 27, in Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey’s office on the following charges:

– Terroristic Threats with Intent To Terrorize Another, Misdemeanor 1
– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Harassment — Comm. Lewd, Threatening, Etc. Language, Misdemeanor 3

Unable to post $10,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, in Venango County Central Court.
