John R. Blauser

John R. Blauser, 61, of Church Street in Port Allegheny, formerly of Kane and Warren, died Friday, June 8, 2018, at his residence.

Born October 18, 1956, in Kane, he was the son of Richard L. and Joanne E. Zimmerman Blauser.

John served in the U. S. Army during the Gulf War, discharged as Sergeant 1st Class. He belonged to the Ludlow American Legion Post #489, and was the postmaster for the USPS in Port Allegheny for many years.

Surviving are a daughter Elizabeth Rhinehart of Olean, N.Y.; a sister Christine Dilley of Kane; a stepsister Kelly Bush of Kane; stepbrothers Bill Blauser of Ludlow and Mike Blauser, Sr. of Kane; and four grandchildren, twins Josh and Jake Rhinehart and twins Emma and Mia Rhinehart. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death, besides his parents, by a son, John Blauser, Jr., and step-siblings Abby Lindemuth and Joe and Don Blauser.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane, at which time a service will be held there with the rev. Jason Horrocks, pastor of the First Church of God in Kane, officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery with military honors accorded.
