CLARION, Pa. (D9Sports) — Recent North Clarion graduate Colt Stimmell will continue his football career at Ithaca (N.Y.) College, an NCAA Division II program.

Playing in a football co-op at Clarion, Stimmell was a key member of the Bobcats 2017 District 9 Class 2A championship team that advanced to the second round of the PIAA playoffs. He was third on the team in tackles with 91 (7.0 per game) while making 11 tackles for a loss and 10 sacks. He also recovered one fumble.

Stimmell was also a force on the Bobcats offensive line and was credited with 41 pancake blocks on the season.

Ithaca is under the direction of head coach Dan Swamstrom. The school was 8-3 overall and 4-1 in the Liberty League last year, earning co-league champions honors with RPI.
