Authorities Release Details on Route 66 Crash That Sent Three to Hospital

shutterstock_725622499CLARION TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police have released details on an early Friday morning crash in Clarion Township.

Police said the accident happened around 4:32 a.m. on Route 66 just south of Interstate 80 Exit 64 interchange.

Shelby R. Ghezzi, 21, of Strattanville, was traveling south on Route 66 when, for unknown reasons, her 2007 Pontiac G5 exited the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Ghezzi and two passengers – 29-year-old Anna E. Amon of Parker and 25-year-old Zachary T. Hovis of Clarion – were transported to the Clarion Hospital for treatment of injuries of an unknown severity.

There is no word on their current conditions.

None of the occupants were wearing safety belts.

Ghezzi was cited with for a lane violation.
