Emlenton Man Accused of Choking Two Women, Allegedly Tells Police ‘I Did It All’

EMLENTON, Pa. (EYT) — An Emlenton man is facing felony strangulation charges after police were called to a domestic violence incident in Emlenton on Sunday evening.

Court documents indicate the Franklin-based State Police filed criminal charges against 52-year-old Michael Montelle Wade, of Emlenton.

According to a criminal complaint, around 8:25 p.m. on Sunday, June 17, Trooper Cirell was dispatched to a call of a domestic violence situation at a residence on Main Street in Emlenton.

Upon Trooper Cirell’s arrival at the scene, he interviewed two known female victims.

Both of the victims stated that Michael Wade had choked them.

The first victim stated that Wade choked her while she was attempting to walk into her bedroom.

The second victim stated that Wade pinned her down to the couch in the living room of the residence and restricted her breathing to the point where she had to gasp for air and fight to push him off of her.

According to the complaint, Trooper Cirell read Wade his Miranda Rights and then asked him what happened. Wade replied, “I did it. I did it all.”

Wade was arraigned at 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, June 17, in Magisterial District Judge Matthew T. Kirtland’s office on the following charges:

– Strangulation — Applying Pressure to Throat or Neck, Felony 2 (two counts)

Wade was denied bail, due to “being a danger to himself and others; unwilling to comply with any bail condition or directive,” according to court documents.

He was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, with Judge Kirtland presiding.
