‘Friends’ Provide New Clarion Free Library Sign

CLARION, PA. (EYT) — The Friends of Clarion Free Library have been busy raising funds for improvements at the library, and one of their projects is a new sign for the library.

The previous sign, erected when the library’s new addition was completed in 1983, faded and become nearly illegible from the street.

Reaction to the new modern look has been overwhelmingly positive.

“We’ve only heard good things from the public about our new sign,” said Dan Parker, Clarion Free Library Executive Director. “We are so grateful to the Friends of the Library for donating the sign to us.”

The sign, manufactured by Caldwell Signs in Oil City, was a custom build for the library and is made of powder-coated aluminum. It is expected to last for at least 30 years.
