One count of second-degree felony strangulation was withdrawn.

Charges have been transferred to the Clarion County Court of Common Pleas.

Gervasoni is free on $1,0000.00 bond.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, around 3:30 a.m. on Monday, June 4, Markco Angelo Gervasoni and a known female began arguing at a location along Main Street in Shippenville.

According to the complaint, when the victim attempted to defend herself, Gervasoni punched her in the face, causing her nose to bleed, and then slammed her head off the floor.

After the victim was able to get to her feet and get away, Gervasoni grabbed her by the shirt and slammed her into a doorway causing a large lump on the right side of her forehead.
