SANTA MONICA, California — Workers at a thrift shop in California tracked down a man who donated his late mother’s doll collection without realizing there was $36,000 cash in one of the boxes.
Ray Rhinehart said he donated his mother’s doll collection to the American Cancer Society’s Discovery Shop and was shocked when he received a call from the store saying an envelope full of cash had been found stashed in one of the boxes.
