Tri-County Animal Rescue to Host International Homeless Animals Day on August 18

CLARION, Pa. — Tri-County Animal Rescue will hold their 6th annual International Homeless Animals Day (IHAD) on Saturday, August 18, at Veterans Memorial Park in Clarion.

The event is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

IHAD is held to raise awareness about the pet overpopulation epidemic and promote spaying and neutering of pets.

There will be raffle baskets, music, vendors, games for kids, and a pet parade. Attendees can enter for a chance to win one of two donations of laminate flooring from Kronospan – over 400 sq. ft. each.

A blessing of the animals will be held at noon with Pastor Stephanie Weaver of the Sligo Presbyterian Church presiding.

Attendees can also meet representatives and some of their animals from other rescues. Awards will be presented to animal advocates.

The event will close with a pinwheel memorial service.

The event is open to the public and TCAR invites everyone to come and join the fun and learn about responsible pet ownership.
