Camo Cares Raises $130,000 for Vets and Children
According to event organizer, Kyle Schwabenbauer, the 2018 fundraiser will allow about 50 disabled veterans and children battling life-threatening illnesses to go on the hunt of their lives.
In a Facebook post, Schwabenbauer voiced his gratitude for the community’s support in having such a strong impact on the lives of so many children and veterans.
“I simply can’t thank everyone enough who supported the event by donating their time, funds, and prizes. You should all be extremely proud of the difference you are making in so many people’s lives.”
“And, I am very proud to call this town and community my home. I’m convinced that such an outpouring of support would not happen anywhere else. A huge thank you goes out to every single person who was involved with this year’s event, job well done!!!”
Camo Cares hosts a variety of activities in order to raise funds for the hunts they provide for children and vets. Ranging from raffle prizes to an archery shoot (which set a record for the number of participants this year with 420 registering prior to the event) to simply enjoying live music, there was something available for everyone to enjoy.
Camo Cares has grown exponentially since it began nine years ago as the first event raised $20,000.00.
Schwabenbauer says that Camo Cares will continue to come up with new ways in the future to send kids and vets on the “hunt of their lives.”
