State Police Calls: Thefts, Public Drunkenness

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Theft in Porter Township

Police say a theft occurred at 158 Shrub Road, in New Bethlehem, Porter Township.

A field sprayer was taken from a New Bethlehem man’s farm by a known suspect around 7:30 p.m. on June 29.

The name of the suspect was not released.

The investigation is ongoing.

Public Drunkenness in Monroe Township

According to police, 58-year-old James R. Hartle, of Knox, was cited for public drunkenness after he allegedly left a local hospital in a highly intoxicated state and was found walking on a public roadway.

Police say the incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. on July 12 on Perkins Road in Monroe Township.

Retail Theft in Monroe Township

PSP Clarion are investigating a report of theft that occurred sometime between 3:14 p.m. on June 30 and 10:30 a.m. on July 1.

Three unknown males entered the Clarion Walmart and scammed the business out of a disclosed amount of money at the cash register by “quick changing” the cashier.

The suspects left in an unknown direction.
