State Police Release Details on Two-Vehicle Crash in Beaver Township

BEAVER TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police released information on a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Popetown Road, in Beaver Township, Clarion County.

According to police, 38-year-old Jonathan D. McGurn, of Pawcatuck, CT, and 23-year-old Kayla J. Slaugenhaupt, of Knox, were involved in the collision.

Police say around 3:48 p.m. on July 1, McGurn was traveling southwest on Shettler Road in a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, and Slaugenhaupt was traveling north on Popetown Road in a 2014 Subaru Forester.

According to police, McGurn failed to come to a complete stop and pulled out onto Popetown Road in front of Slaugenhaupt’s Subaru. Subsequently, the Subaru impacted the front driver’s side of the Silverado.

Both vehicles came to a final rest on the roadway.

Jonathan McGurn and his passenger, 35-year-old Sheena J. McGurn, o Pawcatuck, CT, were not injured.

Additionally, Slaugenhaupt and her passenger, 19-year-old Emily R. Slaugenhaupt, of Knox, escaped injuries.

All occupants were using seat belts.

Jonathan McGurn was charged with a traffic violation.
