UPDATE: Two Dead in Car vs. Motorcycle Crash on Route 66 in Paint Twp.; Roadway Reopens

SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Two people died in a car vs. motorcycle crash Monday night on State Route 66 near Route 66 Sporting Goods in Paint Township, Clarion County.

The accident happened around 7:25 p.m. on State Route 66 and the intersection of Wisner Road.

A motorcycle was traveling southbound on Route 66.

A car was traveling north on Route 66, and the motorcycle proceeded to make a left hand turn onto Wisner Road, striking the car, according to Clarion-based State Police.

The motorcyclist and a passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

Information on the deceased is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

The roadway reopened around 11:35 p.m. Monday, according to a representative from Clarion County Department of Public Safety.

Shippenville-Elk Volunteer Fire Department along with Shippenville Ambulance assisted the State Police on the scene.

Stat MedEvac was originally dispatched but was canceled shortly after the paramedics arrived.
