Knox Man Escapes Injury in Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 208

SALEM TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say a two-vehicle accident occurred on Monday afternoon in Salem Township, Clarion County.

According to police, around 4:47 p.m. on Monday, July 30, 49-year-old Christopher M. Bentley, of Lower Burrell, was operating a 2008 Chrysler Minivan, traveling west on State Route 208, just east of Kline Road in Salem Township.

Bentley approached a 2016 Hyundai Elantra, operated by 68-year-old Leonard A. Myers, of Knox, which was stopped in the westbound lane waiting for another vehicle ahead to make a left turn.

Bentley’s vehicle struck Myers’ vehicle, causing disabling damage to both vehicles.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and were not injured.

Bentley was cited for a speed violation.
