Clarview Celebrates Second Annual Family Fun Day
The carnival-themed event was held for the residents, employees and their families. The fun day events included carnival-style games, food, visits with Laurie Sneeringer, her service dog Skye, and entertainment provided by the Clarview Residents and Friends band.
Clarview Continues Commitment to Residents
In 1975 Clarview Rest home, Inc., a private not-for-profit corporation was established to provide improved medical services to the citizens of Clarion County. Through their efforts, a plan for a new facility was created. Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center opened its doors the week prior to Thanksgiving in 1979. In 1996, Clarview Rest Home Inc. began the expansion of the original dietary department, the addition of a 2400 square foot rehabilitation gym, and the creation of a new 24-room Personal Care facility, Country Springs. More recently, Clarview has opened the doors to their Short-Term Rehab Unit-Clarview Country Rehab Suite.
According to Clarview’s website, their mission statement is as follows: “provide the citizens of Clarion County and the surrounding area with services of excellence in specialized nursing, rehabilitation and health care. Our mission will be carried out with a total commitment to quality, dignity, respect and hospitality in all relationships with our customers and our community. We believe in creating value for our customers and an atmosphere that enhances personal growth for our employees. Together we will share an environment that instills trust and quality of life.”
After 39 years, the Clarview and County Springs Campus continue to hold true to that statement. “We are very committed to our residents. WE CARE and believe that we are more than just a medical campus providing care, we are family providing empathy and compassion.” stated Stephanie Ginnery, Director of Admissions.
Sponsors, Staff, Family Help Make Event Possible
Several area sponsors made donations from gift baskets to gift certificates to monetary donations that helped make the event possible. Those sponsors include Clarion Walmart, Applebee’s, Toms Riverside in Rimersburg, Foxburg Pizza, Rimersburg Wildflowers Gift and Flower Shoppe, Hunter, Comet Food Warehouse, Clarion Pizza Hut, Clarion Eat’n Park, C&A Trees, Sheetz, AMC Movie Theater, RBG Grill, Pizza Pub, Korner Restaurant, Compassionate Care, Reinhart Foodservice, National Healthcare, and Sligo VFD.
In addition to the above-mentioned, Clarview and Country Springs Family Fun Day was made possible with the help of the Clarview and Country Springs families and staff.
“On behalf of Clarview and Country Springs I want to extend a heart-felt thank you to all of the residents, families, employees, and sponsors for their continued commitment and support and for helping to make our Second Annual Clarview and Country Springs Family Fun Day another great success,” stated Ginnery. “It is definitely clear with the outpouring of support of family, friends and a caring community that we all share the same motto: They cared for us yesterday; We care for them today.”
