Police Release Details on Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 322

ASHLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a driver who ran a stop sign caused a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 322 on Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, around 3:14 p.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 57-year-old Scott R. Nowlin, of Cranberry, was driving a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500 at the intersection of State Route 338 and U.S. 322 near Camp Coffman Road in Ashland Township, Clarion County.

Police say Nowlin failed to stop at a stop sign and proceeded onto U.S. 322, striking a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze driven by 46-year-old Michael S. Croyle, of Reno, who was traveling west on U.S. 322.

Nowlin was transported to UPMC Northwest by Knox EMS for suspected minor injuries.

Croyle was not injured.

Both drivers were using seat belts.

Both vehicles sustained disabling damage.

Nowlin was cited for a traffic violation.
