Investigation Underway After Driver Flees Scene of Shippenville Collision

PAINT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred last week in Paint Township, Clarion County.

Tpr. Lingle said the accident happened on August 17 around 8:11 p.m. as an unknown vehicle was traveling south on State Route 66 and crashed into the rear of a second vehicle that was stopped at the intersection of State Route 66 and U.S. Route 322.

The driver of the unknown vehicle fled west on U.S. 322.

The operator of the vehicle that was struck — 59-year-old David Kukulski of Tionesta — continued to follow the suspect vehicle for approximately five miles to the area of Route 208 and Monte Karlo Road; however, a positive identification of the suspect vehicle has not been made.

Kukulski was not injured.
