SIGEL, Pa. (EYT) — Clear Creek State Park will be hosting a DCNR Sustainability Fair today.

The event is scheduled to run from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about sustainable technology and related policies that are advancing in Pennsylvania.

The event will offer a first-hand look at a solar generator, an electric motorcycle, and a hybrid vehicle. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about sustainable technology and its future.

A Soil Conservationist will be at the event to explain microbes and their influence on plant growth while a Watershed Specialist will demystify water runoff. A forester will also be on hand to explain a range of management ideas and programs for woodlot owners.

The event will also include activities for children and opportunities for youth to ask questions about careers in the sustainability field.
