Holden was a dominant offensive player in a weekend defined by Clarion’s own excellence, as the junior outside helped the Golden Eagles to four 3-0 victories at the Tony Banner Memorial Tournament. She averaged 5.33 kills per set while hitting .392 over the weekend, committing just 13 errors in 130 attack attempts. That included a weekend-high 18 kills against Ohio Dominican and two other matches – Thursday against Concord and Saturday against Cedarville – where Holden totaled more than 14 kills and hit better than .400.

Clarion has won 15 consecutive sets, dating back to a 3-2 victory over Lake Superior State on Aug. 25 in which the Golden Eagles won the final three sets to erase a 2-0 deficit. Holden is averaging 5.06 kills per set and hitting .385 in that five-match span. The Golden Eagles are now 6-2 overall on the season.
