CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) — A Flood Watch continues for Clarion County and surrounding areas.

…FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY EVENING…

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of east central Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, including the following areas, in east central Ohio, Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Jefferson, Monroe, Muskingum, Noble, and Tuscarawas.

In Pennsylvania, Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Clarion, Fayette, Fayette Ridges, Forest, Greene, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, Washington, Westmoreland, and Westmoreland Ridges.

In West Virginia, Brooke, Hancock, Marshall, and Ohio.

* Through Monday evening

* Moderate to heavy rain is expected through Monday as remnant low pressure, of what once was tropical system Gordan, crosses the region. Three to six inches rain is possible by late Monday.

* Widespread flooding is possible in the watch area. There will also be the risk for potentially significant river flooding.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
