Ella “Carol” Schroder, 87, of Franklin, passed away at 9:13 A.M. on Thursday September 13, 2018 at the Caring Place.

Born January 15, 1931 in Flushing, NY, she was the daughter of the late Alfred L. and Ella Duppler Gosselin.

Carol worked for many years as a secretary at various law firms, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Peapack, NJ and also for the Mendham, NJ Police Department. She was actively involved with the Republican Party on the state level in New Mexico.

She enjoyed reading, classical musical and was an avid bird watcher.
Since moving to Franklin two years ago, Carol enjoyed attending events at the Barrow Civic Theatre and going to Mass at St. Patrick Church.

Surviving is a daughter, Linda Thayer and her husband Nelson of Franklin; two step grandchildren, Rebekah Thayer and Kenneth Thayer and his wife Nina; and two step great-grandchildren, Jackson and Lucas Thayer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Arthur L. “Larry” Schroder; a son, Peter L. Schroder; and a granddaughter, Karen E. Halladay.

At the family’s request there will be no visitation or service.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff – Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin.

Interment will be made in Lake George, NY.
