MARBLE, Pa. (EYT) — State Police said a Marble man retrieved a pistol and threatened to take his own life during a domestic dispute in Washington Township on Saturday.

On September 15, 2018, around 10:20 p.m., Marienville-based State Police responded to a domestic assault at a residence along Route 208 in Washington Township.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that a 60-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman, both of Marble, engaged in a verbal argument that became physical when the victim tried to contact the police.

During the dispute, the unnamed man obtained a revolver from a bedroom and threatened to shoot himself.

The victim was able to successfully contact the police before fleeing to a neighbor’s house.

The suspect was detained and charged with Simple Assault and Harassment through District Judge Timothy P. Schill’s office.
