9-1-1 Calls Prompts Search for ‘Nick the Meth Dealer’ in Oil City

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — The Oil City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance with an investigation involving illegal drug activity in the Oil City area.

Venango County 9-1-1 received a call around 11:45 p.m. on Saturday indicating a suspicious man was in the area of Forest Place and East Bissell Avenue attempting to sell methamphetamine to the caller and other nearby individuals.

Oil City Police Department was dispatched to the scene where they spoke with witnesses who stated that a white male who identified himself as “Nick” approached them and discussed “illegal activities.”

One witness told police that “Nick,” who was wearing a blue bandana, offered to sell them methamphetamine. Another witness said “Nick” left the area following the conversation, traveling toward Oil City High School in a large beige/brownish-colored sedan.

Police said on Sunday evening that they have a possible suspect in the case; however, the investigation is ongoing.
