Emergency Crews Respond to Collision on Route 66

PAINT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — At least two people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a multiple-vehicle crash on State Route 66 in the Shippenville area.

Clarion County 9-1-1 said the accident happened around 1:53 p.m. on State Route 66 (Paint Boulevard) near its intersection with East End Road in Paint Township, Clarion County.

Clarion-based State Police, Shippenville-Elk Volunteer Fire Department, Shippenville Ambulance, and Clarion Hospital Ambulance were dispatched to the scene.

The roadway was closed for a brief period following the collision; however, it has since reopened.

Specific details on the accident have not been released.
