Probation Check Leads to Drug, Weapons Charges Against Clarion County Man

REDBANK TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A probation check at a Route 28 residence led to drug and weapons charges against a Summerville man.

According to court documents, CNET filed the following criminal charges against 27-year-old Randy Lee Keener, of Summerville:

  • Make Repairs/Sell/Etc. Offensive Weapon, Misdemeanor 1
  • Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor

According to a criminal complaint, around 8:50 a.m. on August 3, Randy Lee Keener reported to the Clarion County Probation Office for a scheduled appointment with his probation officer.

Based on the meeting, Keener was detained for a probation violation.

The Clarion County Probation Office then went to Keener’s residence located on State Route 28 in Summerville to conduct a search.

Officers found and seized the following items:

  • Empty detox drink
  • Glass jar with marijuana residue
  • Eyeglass container with 1×1 baggies
  • Glass smoking pipe with residue
  • Red and black marijuana bong
  • Drug test kit
  • Two empty detox drinks
  • Marijuana pipe
  • Digital scale
  • Cellular phone

During a search of the residence, officers also found brass knuckles, which is a prohibited offensive weapon.

Based on the investigation, Keener was arraigned at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, September 17, in Magisterial District Judge Timothy P. Schill’s office.

Keener is currently incarcerated in the Clarion County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, September 25, with Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey C. Miller presiding.

Keener is on probation for burglaries that occurred in 2011 and 2012.
