Traffic Stop Leads to DUI/Drug Arrest in Barnett Township

BARNETT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State police initiated a traffic stop in Barnett Township that led to the arrest of a Marienville man for possession of drug paraphernalia and suspicion of DUI.

Around 8:16 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, PSP Marienville conducted a traffic stop in Barnett Township, Jefferson County, due to multiple traffic violations being observed.

Upon further investigation, the driver — a 53-year-old Marienville man — was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The accused was immediately transported to Clarion Hospital for a legal blood draw.

Charges are pending blood results.

The name of the accused was not released.
