Doris Murphy-Morris, 73 of Statham, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018.

She attended Edenburg Presbyterian Church. Doris worked for Athens Insurance Agency for the last 34 years and worked for Quaker State Oil 16 years prior to that. She loved everything about the outdoors from gardening to camping and her dogs.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert C. and Millicent Lerch Murphy and a brother, Larry Zane Murphy.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Chuck Morris of Statham; two sisters; Kathleen Wingard (Chuck) of Shippenville, PA and Christina Rogers (David) of Knox, PA, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018, in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE Winder, Georgia, with her family and friends officiating.
