CRANBERRY, Pa. (EYT) — An Emlenton teen was taken to the hospital after she crashed her car into a tree in Cranberry Township on Tuesday morning.
Franklin-based State Police Tpr. Schmader said the accident happened around 7:33 a.m. and involved a 17-year-old female from Emlenton.
While attempting to negotiate a curve in the roadway, the driver abruptly swerved toward the southern berm causing the vehicle to exit the roadway and crash into a tree.
The impact resulted in disabling damage to the vehicle.
The driver was wearing a seatbelt and was evaluated on scene by Community Ambulance Service.
She was then transported to UPMC Northwest by her mother for further evaluation.
