Clarion Man Sentenced Up to Seven Years in State Prison on Drug Charges

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — A Clarion man is facing up to seven years in state prison on drug charges related to the distribution of cocaine and heroin in the Clarion area.

On Wednesday, October 3, President Judge James Arner sentenced 26-year-old Anthony Christoper Jacob, of Clarion, to a total of 49 months to 84 months in state prison on a number of drug-related charges.

He will receive credit for 204 days served.

Jacob was ordered to consecutive sentences as follows:

– nine to eighteen months on one felony count of manufacture, delivery, of possession with intent to deliver cocaine;
– six to eighteen months on one felony count of manufacture, delivery, of possession with intent to deliver heroin; and
– 34 to 48 months on one second-degree felony count of contraband controlled substance.

Case details:

According to a criminal complaint, Jacob sold four “8 balls” of cocaine (one-half ounce) to a confidential informant on March 8, 2018.

On September 5, Jacob also pleaded guilty to one felony count of manufacture, delivery, of possession with intent to deliver on a second case in which, according to a criminal complaint, he sold three buns of 29 stamp bags of heroin to a confidential informant on February 13.

In a third case, Jacob also pleaded guilty to one second-degree felony count of contraband controlled substance on September 5.

As a result of the plea agreements, one third-degree felony count of Criminal Use of a Communication Facility, one second degree county of possession of a controlled substance contraband, two felony counts of manufacture, delivery, of possession with intent to deliver, one misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance, and one misdemeanor count of use/possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed.

In addition to incarceration, Jacob will also be required to pay court costs as well as restitution to CNET and the state police crime lab.

Anthony Jacob pleaded guilty to one felony count of manufacture, delivery, of possession with intent to deliver in one case on September 5 in the Clarion County Court of Common Pleas.

As a result of the plea agreement, the following charges were dismissed:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Criminal Use Of Communication Facility, Felony 3
– Intentional Possession Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor (two counts)
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor (two counts)
